Role Summary

As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will partner with Vista’s internal stakeholders and portfolio company leaders to deliver high impact recruiting solutions. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of talent acquisition for key roles focused on the Technology and Product function, while driving strategic initiatives that enhance scalability, quality of hire, and time to fill across a dynamic portfolio environment. You will build a curated “bench” of technology leaders as well as partner with top executive search firms. This role has a deep focus on AI.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operating executives, investment teams and portfolio leaders to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities across multiple portfolio companies.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for executive level roles within technology and product functions, with a heavy focus on AI.
  • Deliver recruiting excellence for high growth, private equity backed businesses including post acquisition integrations and talent build outs. Work closely with our other Talent verticals across all aspects of talent including leadership development and recruiting operations.
  • Provide talent market insights, salary benchmarking, and competitive intelligence to inform business and investment decisions.
  • Manage and optimize candidate scorecards tied to our investment thesis, sourcing, market mapping, candidate assessment and screening, thoughtful interviewing, offer negotiation and onboarding coordination while ensuring exceptional candidate experience, with or without preferred partners.
  • Design and refine employer brand narratives for both Vista and its portfolio companies, promoting innovation, growth and culture alignment.
  • Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics to drive continuous improvement, incorporating AI to maximize results.
  • Leverage ATS and CRM systems to maintain accurate data and build high quality, diverse talent pipelines.
  • Collaborate with operating teams to standardize executive recruiting best practices and scale optimal ELTs across portfolio companies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a track record of excellence.
  • 4–7years of executive recruiting experience or similar – ideally in high growth technology, software, or private equity backed environments. Will also consider private equity backgrounds and corporate technology talent acquisition leaders.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting and networking with senior level executives.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and recruiting analytics tools. KPI and data-driven.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across multiple businesses.
  • Analytical problem solver with base level knowledge and interest in AI.
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent searches and priorities in a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment.
  • High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • What Makes This Role Unique at Vista
  • Work across Vista’s diverse portfolio of enterprise software and data enabled companies, shaping talent strategies that directly impact value creation.
  • Collaborate closely with operating partners, investment professionals, and portfolio executives to align hiring with strategic business outcomes.
  • Opportunity to influence talent strategy beyond a single corporate environment — supporting growth, transformation, and leadership excellence across multiple businesses.
  • Exposure to senior executives and access to a high performing network of HR and TA professionals across Vista’s ecosystem.
  • A data driven, results oriented culture that values efficiency, innovation, and measurable impact.

Career Development

This role offers significant exposure to executive level decision making, portfolio company leadership teams, and Vista’s internal operating groups. Successful consultants can grow into senior talent leadership positions within Vista’s operating platform or transition into portfolio level people strategy roles.
